Legends of Rome
This is the second game of this young italian software house, the first was the superb Micro Mortal Tennis, and this time we abandon the fields of tennis
to come into fields of battle. Legends of Rome is a strategic simulation which should be very similar to old Electronic Arts' Centurion. But this title isn't so good.
Gfx is a bit poor, with not many colours and awful animations for soldiers. Sound is a bit basic and is inferior also to the aforementioned title (wich is 5 years old), but for a game like this isn't important.
Playability isn't so high with an interface that sometimes isn't so friendly, but the number of missions and the interest for the historical period could compense that.
So Legends of Rome is a game that at this stage is to primitive to attract. If you're looking for a strategical game buy Centurion or Caesar (if you'll find them).

Questo e' il secondo titolo di questa giovane software house italiana, il primo e' stato il fantastico Micro Mortal Tennis, e questa volta abbandoniamo i campi da tennis per trasferirci su
quelli di battaglia. Legends of Rome ie' una simulazione strategica che vorrebbe essere molto simile a Centurion della Electronic Arts. Ma cio' non succede.
Innanzitutto la grafica e' semplicistica, con pochi colori e brutte animazioni per i soldati. Il sonoro e' basilare ed e' sicuramente inferiore al titolo sopra menzionato (che ricordiamo essere vecchio di 5 anni), ma per un gioco strategico si puo' chiudere anche un occhio (sarebbe piu' giusto dire un orecchio ;-).
La giocabilita' non e' cosi' elevata grazie ad una interfaccia a volte caotica, ma l'iteresse per il periodo storico ed il numero di missioni potrebbero in qualche modo compensare.
Concludendo Legends of Rome e' un gioco che a questo livello e' troppo embrionale per essere attraente. Se state cercando una simulazione strategica del periodo romano compratevi Centurion o Caesar (se riuscirete a trovarli).
